Eligibility:

1. International students who hold foreign passports.

2. Completed high school with a diploma or higher academic qualifications.

3. No criminal records and in good physical and mental health.

4. Aged 16 or above, applicants under 18 must provide a letter of guarantee from a legally recognized adult guardian residing in China.

Note: Applicants of the JMD program (both single and dual degree pathways) who have submitted their application and paid the application fee in full by every academic year are eligible for scholarship selection.

Presidential Scholarship: The ECUST Freshmen Presidential Scholarship is ONLY awarded for the first year. The recipients need to re-apply again for other types of scholarships for the second and third academic year.

Amount of Freshmen Presidential Scholarship: Each scholarship covers a partial scholarship or full scholarship ranged from 10% to 100% of one-year tuition and dorm fee.

First-class scholarship: 100% refund of the tuition fee and the dorm fee waiver for the first academic year.

Second-class scholarship: 50% refund of the tuition fee and the dorm fee waiver for the first academic year.

Third-class scholarship: Dorm fee waiver for the first academic year.

Fourth-class scholarship: 10% refund of the tuition fee for the first academic year.

Requirement:

2. A personal statement (no more than 800 words)

3. Applicants must sit an entrance test and attend a scheduled interview

Language Requirement:

1. Proof of English - IELTS ≥6.0/ TOEFL ≥80 or other equivalents (e.g. Duolingo ≥105) is needed for English-taught programs.

2. Applicants who do not have language scores may submit their applications provisionally and must provide proof of English proficiency to receive the Final Admission Offer.

Tuition Fee:

Interview and entrance examination: Prepare and follow the instructions by the ECUST admission officer to attend the interview and sit the entrance examination.

Test Subjects: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry

Application Fee: 600 RMB (non-refundable)

Application Deadline: July 20th (Early application is highly encouraged due to limited places)
